i think i missed a step? my system works but i maybe didnt add the vibe amp correctly? it would be nice to select between the inputs like on the ultra. i have to get up to toggle the vibe amp between optical and RCA when i am A/B testing.

system is Ultra > vibe amp > Klipsch 6000m

it looks like this in the app

Yes, this is right.
All you can do right now via the wiim app / bluetooth for an ultra the vibelink is power and firmware updates.
As for A/B testing rca vs digital (into the vibelink), for me there's no contest - digital every time regardless of analog source.

Mine shows the name “Vibelink_Amp” plus the unique identifier, it’s odd that yours has no name text. 🤔

i like the digital sources too but the USB out mucks the subwoofer signal up for me. i have to have the sub. i bought an SMSL something to sit inbetween the ultra and the vibelink and it was not as nice as an older cambridge dac i had. so i am returning it. if it had the wow factor i would have punted the sub issue and kept it.

I thought the subwoofer out worked with USB out now. How does it muck it up?

it works but it completely changes the sound profile of the sub, i thought my cone was blown when i first heard it. not blown blown, but damaged enough to make it audible. i cant listen to the sub with usb out. unless i configured something wrong?

That shouldn't happen. What was the the crossover set to in the WiiM Home app?

With an external DAC it's output voltage is totally unknown to the WiiM, so the sub level must be re-adjusted, of course.
