I have been using mine since April. I have had no issues at all. (I may have ordered another plugbank on black friday)
Certainly on the plug version there is the energy monitoring version or the non energy monitoring model which is slightly cheaper, but not so much fun..
Below is the energy usage for my Ultra / Vibelink for November.

I know its a bit sad.
Actually @slartibartfast it was you that put the idea in my head when you reported the power use for the Ultra, I had a look at power consumption meters and came across these plugs, so thanks to you![]()

Got a link?@Wiimer
You do know that there is a plugbank version of these switches with four outlets? It was also in the black friday sale
Can't wait until you find the charge guard (beta) function![]()
Everyone's doing the same thing, aren't they? I'm doing it too.I had a Kasa plug to turn on an electric blanket for 10 minutes then switch off.
Tapo P300Got a link?
304M sorry that's the UK versionTapo P300
From what I can see the p300 doesn't have the energy monitoring featureTapo P300
I have no ideaThe JP version comes with a USB port. Is this a new product?![]()
Is there no (safety) ground on JP plugs/sockets?The JP version comes with a USB port. Is this a new product?
I haven't tested thatWhat watt is Your Vibe doing during deep sleep?
Ah, that's right, sorry @BurnsideFrom what I can see the p300 doesn't have the energy monitoring feature![]()
Yes.Is there no (safety) ground on JP plugs/sockets?![]()
When the Ultra is on standby and the vibelink is on standby it's reporting between 10-11 watts including what the plug uses. I will need to wait until the vibelink goes in to deep sleep. I will let you knowWhat watt is Your Vibe doing during deep sleep?
I was rather surprised to hear you've set Charge Guard to 12W.When the Ultra is on standby and the vibelink is on standby it's reporting between 10-11 watts including what the plug uses. I will need to wait until the vibelink goes in to deep sleep. I will let you know
Ah, I see. But what about the Vibelink, Amp Ultra and other Class I devices that expect/need a ground pin (3 prong)?Yes.
I can also buy a plug with grounding, but JP domestic sockets are 2-pin. There are dedicated 3-pin sockets for air conditioners, refrigerators, and washing machines.![]()
I should explain: I set the charge guard to 12 watts for 12 minutes as it gives me enough time to see if dinner is ready, have a quick chat to the other half and if dinner is going to be a while I can go back to my room and turn it back on again without waiting for the Ultra to reboot againI shall try it too![]()
The JP version of the WiiM power adapter includes an earth wire. This is connected to the speaker cable to provide an earth connection.Ah, I see. But what about the Vibelink, Amp Ultra and other Class I devices that expect/need a ground pin (3 prong)?
(BTW, I also have some Tapo plugs and Tapo lamps)
