Enhanced Volume Control

My Yamaha AVR app has a volume slider like WiiM, but above the slider is an up arrow. When you press the arrow, a volume circle appears. Trace the circle clockwise with your finger and the volume slowly increases. Trace the circle counterclockwise and the volume decreases slowly.

Brilliant. (Copied from the iPod?)

I request that WiiM add this feature to the app.

Did you notice you can tap on the slider to increase or decrease the volume in single steps?

:devilish:
I think this might have been the inspiration for the ultra's volume knob - rotate it a lot for slow volume adjustment :ROFLMAO:

But slightly more seriously, has anyone else wondered why the ultra's volume can't be controlled in this manner on its screen?
I admit to having tried to "circle" the volume display to adjust the volume in the hope it could be used for rapid adjustment.
One for @RyanWithWiiM's ultra screen enhancements maybe...

I would like to install Vibelink's knob on my Ultra.

I have to say the app needs SOME improvement of the volume! The little sliders are great for seeing wheee everything is at but using them for actually adjusting the volume is awful.

We need large buttons with incremental up-down! Also the volume control on the Home Screen along with what’s playing would be awesome! They work great when you’re using the Apple TV to play videos or airplay, but disappear when streaming with ethernet.

You can tap on the left / right of the slider to change incrementally.
Ahh! I did t know that! It still lacks accuracy at the lower end and your finger tap even off the slider a small amount is construed as a click to bring up the now playing screen.

Drag the pointer on the slide bar to 0%, then tap the bar to raise it by 1%.

But…. Why? Sure people do this 2 step process, as well as have your finger just on the right place on the slider as to not off-click.. but why?

Why not a couple of large easy-to-hit buttons on the now playing and devices screens?

Just my 2¢ opinion. 😂

Yes, that has been requested several times before. I have suggested it several times as well. However, the team has decided to make a modification to the current slide bar. I don't know why, but it may be a space issue on the device card.

I just suggested what you can do now. I am not disagreeing with your request. 🙂

You can also use your phone volume buttons to increment and decrement volume which is even easier and no chance of "off-clicks".

Someone specifically mentioned it just 4 posts above your post. ;)

Is there a secret to having this work consistently on an iPhone. Sometimes when I press the iPhone volume up or down it adjusts the ringer volume. Other times the WiiM volume.

Tried that. Still not consistent.
Surprisingly (or maybe not so?), I never found such issues using the Android app.

You should let WiiM know through feedback via the WiiM Home app.
