Headphones

I used to have the Grado, best bluetooth headphone I have listened to.
Yes, I like them, and I also used to have the previous non X model with the higher capacity battery, and that was also very good, although it seemed to be a bit bass heavy for my liking, but fortunately this has been tamed down on the X model, and as a result sounds much more balanced.

I would have kept them but my wife could also hear them so ended up being mostly unused.

...one more interesting article:

Wow, kinda insane. Thanks for sharing. 🙏

It's weird how much of hearing is actually taking place in the brain vs the ear itself. Similar to how vision works, I suppose...

It's also interesting to note that many of the audiologists are concerned about NC headphones being the cause of the APD... could be a combination of things - along with tik to etc - trains the brain in general to have a short attention span?! 🤔

It's crazy how progress and technology are changing people/humanity... As my wife likes to say: A curse and blessing at once.

Hope I may ask this question here..
I can buy a shanling silver usb c to usb c cable for my shanling usb dac..
Is it possible this could improve sound?

I ordered a new cable for the Fiio FT1 this morning before going to work. Not because I believe in sound miracles, but simply because the otherwise very good Fiio cable is very stiff (I mainly use the headphones with the mobile devices XDuoo X3 II, LG V30/V40 within my living area). The original cable is still used for stationary sessions.
Unfortunately, a good quality and flexible Geekria cable was not available in DE. I have ordered now this one, approx. €23,-

Fancy look 😀

Got these inexpensive Delock 2 m balanced extension cable , could not find any normal priced balanced cable for the Fiio FT1. Stock 1.5 meter is a little schort to my K7 amp.

Down side of extremely high priced cables is the extensive burn in period 🤣

DeLock has a good product quality. I use it professionally for some tests in the test laboratory

if you're looking for longer length, decent quality cables - oehlbach is doing a sale on their USB range at the moment. (EU store) quite sturdy and at the sale prices they are not much more expensive than generic cables...

hard to find good quality long cables on amazon/aliexpress - too much garbage mixed in

Thanks for the tip😊👌👍

I have been very satisfied with these cables from Oidio, very well made & in both cases a noticeable improvement over those supplied by Hifiman and Beyer. Those on the Arya Organics can also be tried with the FiiO FT1s when they arrive and if the results are equally positive I will order another set with a different colour combination.
