How long to index audio files?

Just bought the Ultra to stream audio files from my Windows PC. I have downloaded the Wiim Home app onto the PC and selected to add one of the music folders containing 510gb of audio files. It has been 8 hours and It is still adding (indexing) that folder. It only took 4 minutes or so yesterday to add a 22gb folder.
Is that length of time normal or should I somehow stop it and restart?
The hard drive of that folder is not part of a NAS, it's just a simple disk of SATA storage.
I haven't been able to use my Wiim yet because of this process.
Is this length of time to index that quantity of data normal?

Where do I find that? What is Squeezlite?

Squeezelite is a "hidden" feature of Wiim and I believe Eversolo, it just means it's Squeezelite compatible, there is nothing to downloading.

Basically

1) Install LMS somewhere, either on a PC, NAS, or Raspberry Pi. You can have multiple LMS servers
2) Make sure on the device LMS service is started, you have set music path, scanned music. Options include Material Skin plugin in LMS (recommended)
3) Install Craig Drummonds LMS app

Those advising Lyrion should have told you that it's a replacement for the WHA which uses the Ultra as a renderer.

I'm sure one of the Lyrion users will be along soon with instructions.
Yes, I was told that the Wiim Home App is not recommended because it's in beta and that Lyrion is better. Lyrion download site mentioned something about "raspberry pi" but I have no clue what that is.

You can have LMS installed on raspberry pi it's a low powered comptuer. I have one, running picoreplayer. That's a lightweight Linux OS that boots up headless, directly into LMS. About 20MB download

My Squeezeboxes connect to the Pi, with the music on a NAS on the network

If you can see this, then LMS is installed and running ok.

Install LMS app here

Once you access LMS server, go into plugins and install this

then restart lms

I don't want to mess with another computer. I simply want to stream the music that is on my PC to the Wiim that is connected to my Yamaha receiver.
I do not know what Squeezebox is, not raspberry pi, nor github, or anything else like that. I just need simple, non-technical instructions how to accomplish playing my PC music through my home audio receiver without 50 other programs and apps necessary. This is just insanely frustrating because Wiim the company just assumes everyone knows everything about all of this stuff.
I have Lyrion Media Server installed on my PC. It has a folder of music listed in its library. My Wiim is on and connected via ethernet to my network.
I don't have a NAS nor am I going to get one. I have plenty of storage om my PC.

You asked the question, I answered, if you don't want the knowledge then figure things out yourself.

I'm just very frustrated with all of this because it's becoming much more complicated than it should be. I cannot afford to buy another piece of equipment. I've spent countless hours trying to figure out how to use this thing.I really appreciate all of the assistance but it's going over my head .

You don’t need another computer.
You just need to configure LMS (Lyrion) to share your music files in a way that the Wiim can see them.
You need to install the UPnP/DLNA Media Interface plugin to do this

You don't need to buy anything more.

Install LMS on the PC, configure it, install material skin plugin, scan your music in#
install craig drummon app on your phone
if you want AVR etc to be used as a audio player install upnp service UPnP/DLNA bridge (v3.3.9)

Use the app to browse your music. It'll look something like this

I just need someone to give me instructions on what to do from this point wih

So, Lyrion is installed on my PC. I ahve it open. I have added and scanned a folder of music and it is listed in the library. Here's the screenshot. I don't know what you mean by installing UPnP/DLNA Media interface.......

The abbreviations are throwing me. Is LMS Lyrion or Logitech? What is AVR? What is craig drummon?

Here is what I can see.

Click on plugins. Search for material skin and UPNP bridge enable both. Restart LMS.

Then install the APK from here on your phone

Open the app it should find your LMS server and be albe to play the music. it'll seach for LMS on your LAN and you should see any UPNP devices, wiim, or squeezeboxes.
