How long to index audio files?

Just bought the Ultra to stream audio files from my Windows PC. I have downloaded the Wiim Home app onto the PC and selected to add one of the music folders containing 510gb of audio files. It has been 8 hours and It is still adding (indexing) that folder. It only took 4 minutes or so yesterday to add a 22gb folder.
Is that length of time normal or should I somehow stop it and restart?
The hard drive of that folder is not part of a NAS, it's just a simple disk of SATA storage.
I haven't been able to use my Wiim yet because of this process.
Is this length of time to index that quantity of data normal?

Once you get it working phone should look like this.

That means you have

App installed on the phone
The app is connecting to the lms server
Your wiim devices have found the lms server

Did you read the FAQ?
"How to Stream Music from LMS to Your WiiM Device with Squeezelite"

I didn't see that. I will go back to read through it.
I was just on the phone with the Wiiim support guy and he said he cannot give any assistance for Lyrion, only their Home App for the PC. Using their app on my PC I select the file I want to play. And if I want to play a different file, I can only use the Wiim app on my PC, not the phone! So if I'm in the room with my Ultra and home stereo system and want to play another song, I have to go back to my office where my PC is to change it there. That's ridiculous.

And that is not the case if you follow the instructions. It's not complicated but there is no magic button that do it all for you. There is simply too many options for that, to be supported by WiiM.

With LMS you can control the wiim (or other audio streamers once UPNP bridge is installed) with PC, tablet or phone.

It's much better than the Wiim PC app / phone app. here is my multi rooms system

Please understand that, for particular reasons, I have difficulty understanding things like this now. It's extremely frustrating for me now because I used to assist with data center infrastructure development and revisions. But I'm unable to do that nor easily comprehend and follow these instructions. I hope you understand that it's definitely not a lack of appreciation and gratitude. It's a gut punch of defeat and frustration to me.

I don't want to mess with another computer. I simply want to stream the music that is on my PC to the Wiim that is connected to my Yamaha receiver.
I do not know what Squeezebox is, not raspberry pi, nor github, or anything else like that. I just need simple, non-technical instructions how to accomplish playing my PC music through my home audio receiver without 50 other programs and apps necessary. This is just insanely frustrating because Wiim the company just assumes everyone knows everything about all of this stuff.
I have Lyrion Media Server installed on my PC. It has a folder of music listed in its library. My Wiim is on and connected via ethernet to my network.
I don't have a NAS nor am I going to get one. I have plenty of storage om my PC.
In that case if you open the LMS web page at

Http://your serverIPaddress:9000

do you see the WiiM as a player?
