Good point but it it’s possible in an Eversolo ..

Isn't it downloaded as an app on the Eversolo? So it would have the same geographical restrictions as the BBC Sounds app on any other device. The BBC section of the WiiM Home App is woeful though. Lyrion has a much better integration via a plugin.

On wiim pro, these services can now only play music via chromecast.

These are exclusively Russian services. The forum is English-language. No one here is interested in such things....

Going back to BBC Sounds, here in UK I am enjoying its native integration on my KEF speakers and on my Sonos speakers. It would be amazing if I could have the same functionality on all my WiiMs.

You can Chromecast or AirPlay from the bbc sounds app to WiiM devices with no loss in quality

Thanks, but trying to keep things as simple as possible for my other half. It's an Ultra and she uses an iPhone so forget Airplay. Any hints on how to make Chromecasting smoother on an iPhone gratefully received.
To be honest she's happy to use Bluetooth so we're not stuck.

Here’s a screenshot from my iPad bbc sounds screen. Just select the speaker icon at the bottom of the now playing screen and the Ultra should appear under a list of Chromecast devices, assuming of course you set up Chromecast for it during setup. Just as easy as choosing an airplay target.

Thanks for taking the time! She had tried with Chromecast before but felt it was a bit unreliable - could be the mesh WiFi at the kitchen end of the house of course. Trying again as we speak. Cheers!
