Introducing the WiiM Edition of the Audio Pro A10 MKII and C10 MKII

I’m sure the other guys have it patented but pressing a button on physical speaker to join existing playback in another room would be a great addition.

How would it know which stream to join if you had multiple streams playing? Plus WiiM doesn’t have an account structure so you could hijack some one else’s stream/device on the same network.

Looks like the app is your friend here ;)

It cycles through all streams playing if multiple are going. Hit the wrong one just press it again.

Can’t speak to the account structure bit. Imagine vast majority of setups are single family households so 🤷‍♂️

And now listed under the Audio Pro, not WiiM store…
That is the same as Amazon US, correct? 🙂

However, if you search for A10 within the Audio Pro store, I don't think you will find the WiiM edition.

Yeah, but originally I thought it wasn’t listed there, but I may be wrong

That is what I was referring to in #74 and #76. 🙂

Official Store =AudioPro
Distributor (Sold by) = WiiM

But in fact the WiiM edition do not exist in the Audio Pro store.
(It is in the WiiM store.)

This may cause some confusion for consumers..

This is all great information, thanks guys!

About to return my (non-WiiM) A10 mk2. I've tried living with it for a week and there are just too many bugs/software features which nearly work. Tidal connect is extremely flakey, BBC Radio only works 1 in 5 times and AirPlay keeps dropping out. My WiiM Ultra is rock solid running off the same network, so it's definitely an issue with the speaker itself.

Shame, as it sounds very good for a compact 'all in one' speaker... probably the best I've heard of this type of 'all in one' streaming speaker.

Pleeeaaase WiiM will you hurry up and get this thing out in the UK!
I'm interested how it compares to a Sonos 5 2nd Generation, I'm thinking about replacing mine with the C10, to simplify it for my wife.
Just noticed you are discussing the A10, it was the C10 I am interested in:)

Just plug a WiiM mini into the 5 line in 👍

Unfortunately it's the Sonos app that my wife has difficulty with, I use the line in for an echo dot, it actually get more use with the dot that any other source.
I work away from home mostly and if the wifi drops out its sometimes difficult to reconnect:(

Oh because I am using a WiiM ultra plugged into my pair of 5s I don’t use the Sonos App at all
Just get the sono+ widget for volume and grouping and use WiiM to play music on
Or I believe sonophone app works ok

Hi, @RyanWithWiim. You hinted at a "portable" Audio Pro - Wiim Edition device coming soon. I can only hope it will be a kind of C3-MKII.
Any idea of what other Audio Pro devices will get the "Wiim Edition" treatment?
Also... it would be really really really great if Wiim could provide an upgrade path from Audio Pro to Wiim firmware for existing Audio Pro devices.

Thanks! :)

Hi! No hint intended on a portable at the moment. That may come someday, but I wouldn't set your expectations for seeing anything in that regard soon.

I'll pass along your interest to the team for the Audio Pro stuff, there are some hardware differences, but it's possible they're not unsurmountable if there's enough will. Again, no promises to make!

Any updates on availability of Audio Pro WIIM based speakers in Europe? It would be an excellent BlackFriday deal. But actually i wouldn't care about discounts as long as it is available before Christmas!

No updates to share. The team is still determining if or when they might be able to bring these to Europe. We'll share it out if there's any news as soon as there is!

If or when is a rather depressing response for non-USA users of WiiM products. I hope you don’t go down the road that Amazon has taken with Alexa where non-USA users have been treated like second class consumers and have either had to wait a long time for similar features, if indeed they arrive at all. I guess WiiM have previous here with the WiiM Light, but WiiM enabled speakers are a whole different class of product and ignoring non-USA potential customers would be a major blunder - particularly for hardware that initiated from a Swedish company…

...to be fair, the AudioPro A10 MKII and C10MKII are currently available in Europe and work with the WiiM Home App and have 100% group and playback compatibility with WiiM devices. As near as I can tell the only feature they lack compared to the WiiM Editions are the extensive EQ and Room Correction (they have basic bass and treble controls).

Thanks, I’m aware of that but it’s the WiiM Edition versions that are being discussed, and they have other features beyond EQ and RC, including squeezelite and Roon compatibility inter alia.

They're also not as reliable. I have a WiiM Ultra in a different room which works 100% of the time and an Audio Pro A10 mk2 currently in the kitchen (right next to the router). The Audio Pro keeps dropping out of play on Spotify, Tidal, Internet Radio, AirPlay etc etc.

I also can't assign any of the preset buttons to BBC Radio which was the number 1 feature I wanted. Audio Pro have said it's going to be fixed in a software update but I can't say I'm super confident seeing as google searches show it to be a recurrent issue.

I have 3 A10 MK2s and with adequate wifi signal they have been as reliable as my WiiM Pro+s. I pretty much only stream Spotify and NAS, so I can't speak to other services. The only time I have had any issues with anything dropping out was when I had one of the A10s at margins of my wifi coverage.
