Introducing the WiiM Edition of the Audio Pro A10 MKII and C10 MKII

I will wait for the Wiim edition too.
If radio functionality is flakey it isn't acceptable is it? Lets say it otherwise.. Audiopro should try to solve this. Question could be why haven't they..

I want full eq functionality and room correction...wiim edition, wiim support..
I'll wait.the wiim version will cost more. As I said above the normal version of the c10mk2 costs here 285.
But what i have to pay more is worth it.
114 more_ I assume_for the Wiim edition.
Hardware quality is very important but good software and the support that comes with it too.
I assume by radio functionality the OP is referring to the Internet radio feature. Internet radio aggregation (ie. the station database used) is a problematic aspect of streaming. Many devices use TuneIn (which misses many services), others use their own database. What does Audio Pro use?

You're right I don't know what he meant by flakey..
Maybe he could inform us.

Much the same as WiiM as the audio pro app is a cut down version of the WiiM Home app. I think the OP may be referring to a firmware issue with non-WiiM Edition Audio Pro units which I recall being mentioned on an audio pro Facebook group.

I think ..and I know many of you think the same way:
Hardware very important but software, support that comes with the functionality..same.
That's what many of the audio companies didn't understand if I may say it this way.
Wiim did. And for a very good price.
Now it's time to wait for the Wiim edition of the audio pro speaker.

How does that allow synchronization with another WiiM device?
I'm speculating here, but I assume the same way it works with any other WiiM devices: the faster devices introduce enough artificial delay to accommodate the slower ones, so that the sound comes out of all the speakers at the same instant. It isn't possible to make the slow ones faster, but adding delay to the faster ones is fairly trivial.

With a streaming box like a Mini or a Pro Plus, the line output is going into an unknown system with an unknown delay. It might be a conventional amplifier feeding into passive speakers (fast), or it might be active speakers that redigitize the input and do their own DSP (slower), or it might be something like the linein on a pair of Sonos speakers with the input delay set to a second (very slow). The only way to find out is to measure it using a microphone.

With the A10 and C10, everything is built in and the system should be able to tell exactly when the signal gets to the speakers, no external measurements needed.

On my non-WiiM A10 mk2 TuneIn radio works fine, there's also a general 'Internet Radio' function which has all the BBC radio stations. These can't however be added to the preset buttons on top of the speaker - they show as presets but pressing the button does nothing. It's been acknowledged by AudioPro and a quick google shows it's been an issue (maybe consistently) for the last few years but no fix is apparent.

My Ultra and Mini however both have the separate BBC Radio app which allows me to have a preset assigned to (for example) BBC Radio 6 Music or Radio 4.

This was the main reason why I bought the A10, I'm only keeping hold of it because the Spotify and Tidal connect functions seem to work well (and it can be paired with the Mini or Ultra).
