Introducing the WiiM Edition of the Audio Pro A10 MKII and C10 MKII

So can anyone from WiiM comment on when the update for the A10 is coming and why did you stagger the update between the only two speakers you have???

They always stagger updates…🤷‍♂️
But for two, very similar products??? I can't see the electronic guts of these differing that much as they both literally do the same thing.

I can understand Samsung staggering for ten different models of cell phone's but this is WiiM's two, current "flagship" models...

Why staggering? Limited bandwidth/server resources?

I’d rather have the option to accept/skip updates.

I wonder if staggered FW delivery is a way to gauge problems. Update a few, monitor feedback, release more or make changes, repeat. A kind of a dynamic beta test.

Maybe one for @RyanWithWiiM’s “behind the scenes” videos or articles to explain, although my view is that it is what it is and that we long term WiiM users have learned to be patient and just shrug off any delays in getting a particular firmware version for a particular device… 🤷‍♂️

True. And as stated before, I would prefer a update/skip option, and would often take skip. :)

My C10 got the update yesterday too.
Don't recall seeing the rocket, and unfortunately there's not a section for these speakers in the release notes screen in the app, and it doesn't look like one exists for them on the wiim website either.

I can't find 'Fixed Volume' anymore though :)

Do you mean this in Audio Settings. 🤔

Yes, this is Audio Settings for my C10.
Same firmware and build date as you, 5.2.707351.236 and 20250211.

Would be nice if the screen title (in all screens) had the device name too.
Sometimes I find myself going back to the main Settings screen to confirm which device I'm looking at, but this is definitely the C10.

Seems I have balance too!

Now this is very strange...
Just started playing a preset to the c10 and went to the audio settings screen... balance has gone.

Hmm..
And yet on a different tablet audio settings does show balance.
And it works, as much as you'd expect it to on a speaker this wide.

Edit - seems the first tablet might have lost its connection to the c10 - all wiim devices went 'unable to connect'.
Restarted the tablet and it shows balance again.
Might also explain why the screenshot above doesn't show the volume limit value.

I have just refreshed the WiiM Home App on all of my devices, and now I get the same as you in my Audio Settings for the C10.

I also don't have the Balance option anymore.
