Introducing the WiiM Edition of the Audio Pro A10 MKII and C10 MKII

Anyone noticed a curious change to all the W-generation speakers information on the Audio Pro websites ...... The word Wiim is now glaringly absent..... Or is it just me seeing this?

Something to do with the imminent launch of the Wiim Sound speakers?

I think you may be right - like you, I seem to recall “WiiM-powered” or suchlike being mentioned but there’s no trace of that there now. Or maybe the magazine articles did.

Something to do with the imminent launch of the Wiim Sound speakers?

If I were WiiM, I’d not be too happy about the timing of their launch nor the association with WiiM in their advertising. But who knows?

Edit: you can still see the mention of WiiM in the press release in your original post, but no mention if you now open that page.

Audio Pro still is advertising many WIim features

"It has new features such as advanced EQ, room correction, WiFi timing synchronization, new streaming services and more frequent firmware updates."

Given the on-going relationship between Linkplay, Wiim and Audio Pro this whole role out seems pretty amateurish on both sides. For now, I would not buy speakers from either Wiim or Audio Pro until this is strengthened out.

Even the press release has changed

"A brand new app, new sound and a refined design. A new chapter from the award-winning Swedish speaker brand begins..."

I don’t see what WiiM would have had to do directly with Audio Pro’s (re)launch tbh

If Audio Pro is using Wiim software there should be an agreement between the two as to what they will advertise and what they will not. That should be standard in any deal between 2 companies. If Wiim did not have that, it was a pretty sloppy deal. If they did and Audio Pro violated that then that could influence a long term relationship. Somebody screwed up here and there is a possibility of a long term problem. Maybe it was simply an oversight, but if so it was a big one. I spend years doing product launches and this type of mistake/change should never happen.

By the way, Wiim's name is still in one of the product descriptions.
