Issue: Wiim Pro Plus Google Chromecast SPDIF

Hi there,

I do connect a Wiim Pro Plus to a Wiim Vibelink via Optical Cable (SPDIF), with Spotify Connect and Airplay its all good, but streaming via Google Chromecast in Chrome Browser (Soundcloud) or at my iPhone with Soundcloud App, there is no Signal. It is connecting, tracks are running, but no output.

Can someone help please?

I can chromecast Soundcloud both from Chrome and the app on my iPad to my Pro Plus connected over coax into my amp, albeit not a vibelink.

Try power cycling your Pro Plus (I.e unplug it from power, wait a few moments then re-connect it) and see if that helps. Maybe also check in the google home app that your pro plus is in a “room” and that its volume isn’t turned down when you select it there. Can you chromecast to it ok from any other service?

If you still are having problems, submit a ticket to WiiM via the more/feedback section in the WiiM app so they can inspect your device logs for clues.

Thanks for your reply. I use the SPDIF (Optical) Output, not Coax. Cinch (Line out) works fine.
