Jellyfin DLNA not showing full music library

I have a Jellyfin server where I store my music collection, and when I connect via DLNA it doesn’t load more than 840 songs, even though I have around 2000. Some albums are incomplete, and some artists don’t show up at all. Is there any solution for this? It would be great if there were a specific Jellyfin connection like the one Plex has.

Using legacy or advanced mode?

To switch between the two, select your Jellyfin instance from Home Music Share, then click the vertical ellipsis in the top right hand corner of the screen.

Just to help out with where to find the ellipsis:

Y tried the two modes. In advanced only find 840 songs and in legacy for example aren't all albums o all artist. I'm using android.

I'm unsure about the meaning of this.
Is it still not showing all your albums, artists etc.? Even in legacy mode?

Could you try using some other endpoint or controller (e.g. BubbleUPnP) and check what that can see?

What version of Jellyfin are you using as there have been a lot of issues with 10.11.?

Were you using the WiiM Home app prior to the 10.11 upgrade, and if so, were you experiencing similar issues?

In pc i usually use VLC and found completed albums and artist and the lg tv the same.

The jellyfin server is 10.11.5

In the server log i show this:

[INF] [12] Jellyfin.Plugin.Dlna.Main.DlnaHost: DLNA Session created for "LG SKXXXXXX" - "LG Music Flow" using profile "LG Smart TV"
[INF] [12] Jellyfin.Plugin.Dlna.DlnaManager: No matching device profile found. The default will need to be used.

In the server log i show this:
This looks like Jellyfin is NOT a UPnP server but a casting software.
I‘m actually puzzled that WHA can see any of it at all.
Get a real UPNP server.

Jellyfin does include a dlna server which you should be able to browse in the WHA

@ferdinandpc I had a similar issue with emby, from which jellyfin is forked. I raised a ticket from the wiim home app (click More > Feedback and Tickets) and they sorted it.

Then he‘s not using it correctly. A UPnP server is not dependant on knowing details of the renderers. But this what his log says.

The portion of his jellyfin log he quoted is irrelevant to his issue. You can add profiles to upnp servers that will adjust behaviour depending on what render it connects to. Well you can in Asset and Emby anyway and therefore I suspect jellyfin too.
I think the issue is probably with wiim as it was with my Emby server. And if it is, it can be fixed :)

I only know such profiles in combination with casting via the UPnP protocol.
But WiiM seems to be willing to solve even the most ‚individual‘ (not to say obscure) problems.

Can you install the WiiM Home app on another device?
All control points are typically sent the same content so it shouldn't be possible for one to be missing artists/albums. I'm wondering if this could be related to caching.

Similar issue with not all tracks/albums/artists represented using the DLNA plugin for Jellyfin. Firmware updated and have tried switching between Legacy and Advanced mode. Legacy is really slow at loading and often just hangs. In Advanced mode, after a scan I see around 6500 tracks, but I have around 25,000 tracks. Something is definitely failing. This might be an issue on the DLNA plugin side for Jellyfin or it might be an issue in the WiiM app. It would be nice to just have a better integration with Jellyfin anyway. Over DLNA, I am missing so much of the metadata that I have carefully curated in Jellyfin.

FWIW I find Jellyfin's DLNA implementation to be unusably bad. My experience is specifically with casting to the Wiim from Jellyfin but this is supported by the same Jellyfin plugin.

The jellyfin plugin for dlna is awful. Don't bother with it to be honest. There are plenty of proper implementations available. I'm a LMS guy so what do I know 😎

Emby's DLNA works perfectly for me, you could try that. You don't need the paid version (unless you want the features). If you have your metadata saved as nfo in jellyfin then it should pick it up.

That said, I only use Emby's DLNA server for setting presets in the Wiim home app. For normal use I would always use the emby app (android, firestick or LG) or Symfonium.

I can confirm that Emby's DLNA implementation seems to be much better.
I just installed a test server to try it,
The issue now is that some features I need which are free in Jellyfin are behind a subscription in Emby
