Just can't get Spotify Connect to 'see' my Ultra (Pro+ is OK)

Or as suggested in comment #99 above, with Apple…
Why? It works perfectly on MacBook and Mac Pro and work perfectly with Qobuz or tidal.
There is a sort of interference with the Spotify Connect and the Chromcast. But the chromecast have less better sounding

But i agree with you for a important thing: Wiim must work with Apple for the Airplay2 compatibility, and maybe, then after, no more troubles.
Don’t Even know why they don’t use LDAC codec (free to use codec owned by Sony)…

In fact, the problem appear another time since I reply… What a mess… not so serious

Hello guys.

If it can help…

Have the same issues as you the days after I use my ultra for the first time (configuration).

The only thing it works for me is to use Spotify Connect on my MacBook Pro laptop, it find the ultra in half a second, and then, the ultra appears magically in the Spotify App list on my phone (iP15)

Since it works normally beacause i retry factory setting and DON’T change the name of the Wiim. For me, this is the problem here.

Really stupid things for a new product… please Wiim, work on it with Spotify.

A other path of solution: shut off the local detection. For a reason I don’t understand, Spotify (mobile for iPhone) thinks the ultra is on an a other network (on my laptop, it appears on « other network » on the list, but well detected by my laptop)
In fact, there is no other network, and all is ok on my router with same IP , ssid…

@guy48065 can you check at your side please ?

Disabling local device visibility is a well known solution for users of Alexa when their echo devices can’t be seen by the Spotify app, so that setting is often switched off for many users.

I think what @Burnside is hinting at is that this is not a WiiM issue ;)

Why so aggressive when people are trying to help? Merely explaining why some people may not have the issue as they already have that setting off.

Sheesh as our American friends might say…

Merry Christmas :)

No agressivity here.
Just useless comment or evidence are pointless here. We need more feedback from the wiim team now.
Sorry but all your replies are useless until now and you have a sort of agressivity as with @guy48065 (that’s the first thing I saw when I comes and read here… We understand you are the big name here, ok, no problem with that.
Sorry if you think I don’t respect you, it’s wrong, but i’m not here for a useless blah blah war

Your comments seem to come over as aggressive, you have just joined the forum to ask for help with an issue, and are now slagging off forum members who are only trying to help you. That is certainly not very good forum etiquette.

I need zero help. I’m here for a wiim support beacause I have a new fancy product who doesn’t work well for simple use and i comes with some helping tests for the wiim team and the first poster who (all) treating like a noob.

It’s exactly what I mean… I think I leave soon cause of all the drama (but 0 helping post)

no problem about that. Merry christmas.

This is a user forum. Not WiiM Support.
Please raise your concerns via the feedback in the WiiM Home App.

This is primarily a user discussion and support forum - for direct Wiim support, use the more/feedback section in the app so they can examine your device logs.

Joyeux Noël à tous :)
