Issue Connecting to Wiim Ultra via Spotify Connect

Suddenly, my girlfriend is unable to connect to the Wiim Ultra using Spotify Connect. Is the Wiim Home app now required on all devices using the Wiim?

I have an iPad and an Android phone, and her phone is the only device that cannot connect. It also happens to be the only device without the Wiim Home app installed. Could that be the issue?

Please check for updates to the Spotify app. Earlier versions have connection issues.

Spotify released a bad app a week ago and that has just been fixed.

The WiiM Home App is not involved.

In the thread it seems like the app version 9.0.20.604 fixed the problem. But looking at the app store it says the latest version available is 9.0.18.

As replied to your other post, it’s been updated on Android, but not yet in iOS afaics
