Lossless with iPhone downloaded files

I understand that AirPlay is not supported with WiiM devices, but if I play my downloaded files through the app then they appear to be playing lossless, as the picture shows. Is this being played over WiFi this way? Or is the bitrate shown just giving me information and not an accurate representation of what’s being played? Thanks for any insight!

Local files are played over WiFi to your WiiM device and will support up to 24/192, irrespective of whether the device supports AirPlay or not.
