The issue is with some DACs. The WiiM software has settings like the fade in/out and fixed resolution to try to mitigate this but in the end it must be fixed by the DAC manufactures.
My point is that WiiM would do something if it were within their area of control. If the issue is external to the WiiM device, the best they can do is try to mitigate the impact, but ultimately the responsibility would lie with the external device manufacturer
