Loudness curve?

First, hello all. This is my first post here.
My setup:
WiiM Mini
Jbl 305p mk2
These are used on my wfh desk with the speakers either side at approx arms length.

I’ve used the room correction feature on my WiiM Mini to give a custom EQ. I mostly listen at relatively quiet levels and would like to add a “loudness curve” on top of the custom EQ. Ideally this could be variably set so I can set th curve to max when listening very quiet, turning down as the volume increases.

Is there a loudness option on the WiiM, or a method to implement one?

Theres a basic loudness preset in the graphic equaliser. imo its not that good

You will have to use the 10 band PEQ to set your loudness curve and make a couple more for different listening levels saving them as PEQ presets. You'll get way better results using the PEQ.

Theres no automated loudness. Hopefully the wizards at Wiim will implement it one day

You could try the following:

It looks the same. Here’s a screenshot from the iOS app
How would I go about ‘merging’ the custom eq I have with your presets?

So thats your Parametric EQ (PEQ) and not your Roomfit correction ?

The general principle is to set your room correction first in Roomfit, i assume thats the curve you have there. (making sure the manual PEQ is flat)

Then you layer the manual PEQ with your loudness curves over that. so you run both Roomfit curve and the PEQ in different screens

Theres no easy way to merge in one screen if thats what you are asking

I think I need to read up on the room correction process. I thought that performing room correction created a custom eq specific to the room and that is what I was showing you.

Yes it does create a custom eq which you run in the roomfit section of the app.

The loudness curves are then set up in the EQ section of the app, its different screens.

I'm pretty new to the Wiim ecosystem as well lol

The RoomFit creates a PEQ setting that is applied to the audio signal (if on). On top of that your own EQ (PEQ) is then applied (if on). So two different sets of EQs.

To the best of my knowledge the WiiM Mini is the only device that does not support a RoomFit room correction and additional PEQ or GEQ on top of that. See e.g. here:

As a consequence, you can have a set of PEQ filters for room correction or you can have a set of PEQ filters (or the GEQ presets) for adding a Fletcher-Munson inspired loudness function, but you cannot have both at the same time.

Instead, you'd have to either give up on room correction of manually add your desired loudness values to the EQ created by the room correction function.
