Using Google TV streamer, that has a new audio output setting.
I have been testing different settings with Plex and EAC3, DTS, DTS-HD etc.
I have a huge list of settings, can post here if anyone interested. (3 pages lol)
with the streamer set to output DD, or Automatic (Not PCM) I can get Plex to transcode DTS to AAC, or Direct Play which works also, I suppose the TV is doing the conversion.
With the TV and streamer set to PCM output, (advanced output to DD) always LPCM on the Ultra. slightly higher bitrate with some settings.
Netflix plays with any setting.
Any advantage to configuring to get AC3 on the Ultra, or just leave it LPCM?
The streamer does have a dialog enhance feature, need to test further, I think that is a part of DD? maybe null if using PCM?
Dialog channel is important.
Ultra works well, using Tidal for music.
the GTV streamer controls the volume of the Ultra, the onn pro box did not. (retired due to region block)
