Newbie question: casting with DLNA or Chromecast

I have all my music on my Android phone and tablet (a lot of 24bit). I know that I can cast this music with My Music/Wifi to the Ultra. But I find the Wiim Home app a bit limited, so I intend to also keep using Bubbleupnp and Mediamonkey.
When I start casting from Bubbleupnp/Mediamonkey I see 2 casting renderers: Wiim Ultra (DLNA?) and Wiim Ultra (Chromecast). When I cast to Wiim Ultra the screen of the Ultra displays the bitrate of the song that is played. When I cast to Wiim Ultra (Chromecast) I don't see the bitrate, but only the text 'cast from Bubbleupnp/Mediamonkey'.
Do you know if there is any other difference between these 2 casting renderers (e.g. quality?)

I think the Ultra’s Chromecast (CastLite 2.0 I think it’s sometimes called) is restricted to 24/48 unlike earlier WiiMs and has been known to have stability issues. I’d stick with UPNP where you’ll get the full 24/192

Thanks for your replies! I have never heard of Symfonium, but I have just installed it on my phone and will give it a try. Up until now I preferred Mediamonkey because it has the possibility to distinguish between popular and classical music albums (my music collection is 50/50%).

I've never tried it with classical so do let us know how you get on.

Do you have an issue with continuing to use MediaMonkey and casting to your WiiM using the blue cast (UPNP) icon rather than the mono chromemast icon?
