Hi
I currently have 10 Wiim devices in my house running multiroom.
Just purchased the new Amp Ultra, and discovered that its lacking the multiroom-sync menu in the Wiim app. And to my surprise, the Wiim Amp Pro also lacks this feature.
Whats up with this feature removal? Ive tried contacting Wiim support, but got really weird replies about the unit not needing it due to low latency. A second reply from support suggesting it should be under the input menu?
Well, it didnt solve my problem. Ultra low latency in these units doesnt help me sync them with other higher latency products. And it doesnt help sych devices on different distances.
Anybody have any info regarding this multiroom sync?

Hi mrbejker,

Please provide your ticket number so I can talk to our team and troubleshoot this for you. Please also check the FAQ tutorial here for multi-room playback. In the device tab of the WiiM Home App, have you seen the group icon below I boxed using the cyan color? Thank you again for your patience and support!

Hi,
Amp Ultra, Amp pro and Amp don't originally have audio sync function. I have never had a delay issue in a multi-room group with Mini, Pro or Ultra.

Can you tell which device is causing the delay? It may be worth checking the audio sync section of all devices and trying to reset the delay values.

Also, the WiiM device with the highest delay can be made the leader device in the multi-room group, so that audio can be synchronised from that WiiM device.

Also try (pure) direct mode if you have a WiiM device connected to an AV receiver, as AV receivers have high latency.

Its the Sync Audio setting that is missing on the Amp Pro, Ultra.
For me its mostly the physical distance from different speakers that needs to be time corrected.
Example: Dining room have 1 set of speakers on Wiim Amp ultra 1 meters away. 7 meters away there is another set of speakers. In a nearby room is another set of speakers.
If you choose to calibrate from this dining spot, the Amp Ultra needs to be delayed(which it cant because its lacking this function)

You can make perfect alignment manually at the given listening spot using this Sync Audio function.
My question is why its not there on the Amp Pro and Ultra? Its available on every other device.
Its not like the Amps dont support time alignment. Settings for delay is present in the crossover section when you activate sub-out, but it doesnt help out the user running fullrange speakers.

I am also talking about Sync Audio.

As mentioned earlier, first check all sync audio sections except Amp.

Open Manual Sync and reset it if it has a value other than 0 ms.

Then link other WiiMs to the non-Amp WiiM and check if there are any synchronisation problems.
(e.g. create a group with one WiiM pro as leader).

If it doesn't synchronise, run Auto Sync.
(or adjust with manual sync)
