No sound from LG B5 to Wiim Ultra using HDMI

To use another cable is really my last resort before factory reset. I had my friend here helping me out mounting this thing on the wall and then draging the cables thru a hole in the wall and now he just left so its not a simple task to try myself.

But this cable is labeled to work with ARC and it did work on my Samsung TV.

Here you can se how it looks on the B5 so it is one port for ARC and eARC

This is showing on my LG so it must somehow communicate with Wiim right?

Another thing I noticed is that sound settings within the LG don't seem to stick. If I set everything as recommended above and then turn it off for a while then some of the settings have changed when I power it back on.

You could try the new Beta Testing software for HDMI. Maybe the new settings will help make the connection work when you select and deselect the HDMI input on the WiiM?

This is actually getting weirder and weirder. After i unplugged my Blu ray-player that is in HDMI port 1 (that I can actually reach from the side) and then plug it back in my LG suddenly named HDMI 1 Wiim (as you can see in the picture). Before this HDMI was named BRplayer (or something like that). So there is definitely something weird going on in the LG side.

What is the length of the HDMI cable?

For (inexpensive) HDMI cables, issues may arise if the length exceeds 5 meters. For longer distances, I recommend an optical HDMI cable, but you can also try an optical connection.

It is 1.8 meters instead of Wiims 1.5. It is just the extra length I need to make it work.

Ok so there seems to be an issue for pretty much everyone with a B4 and I am guessing the same goes with B5?

I dont use the Wiim amp but my Ultra was bought in september 2024. Could it be the same compatibility issue?
