Powering WiiM Pro Plus with a power bank

Humans have brains that can be used to learn things and to reason about them. It's what seems to set us (some of us) apart from the rest of the animal kingdom. If I say that my stereo sounded better after I hit my thumb with a hammer, would you believe it? Would you try it? Probably not. So it's a matter of degree. Some people have a lower threshold for belief than others. The differences between people are a mystery. Sometimes it's education, sometimes it's ignorance, sometimes it's insecurity, sometimes it's security, sometimes it's wanting to fit in, sometimes it's wanting to feel superior. Whatever it is, people tend to be resistant to change their beliefs, whatever they are based on, even if reason tells them they are wrong. A lot of people think that because they know the ears/brain are easily fooled by various techniques, they can't be fooled. A lot of marketing effort (and scams) is aimed at such people.

I've always been amazed at audiophiles who listen to CDs and high resolution streaming services, and speakers, etc., demonstrating their belief in engineering, who think that while the engineers can design all that stuff, they just can't seem to get the darned cables (or power supplies, or network routers, or whatever) right. And some hobbyist without any technical training or test equipment can stumble onto the one thing, the one combination of materials, the one braiding pattern, the species of wood, that will suddenly make all those engineers' work worthwhile. As a former EE, I find it both a little insulting and amusing.

Carry on...

Yes, imagine these clowns tweaking a work of engineering more significant than audio gear; a bridge, for example.
