On the WiiM Pro Plus there is a Never setting for Standby Mode. If you have this on the Ultra it would prevent WiiM and thus your amp from turning off. Thanks for that doublej. I wondered if there was a way of leaving the wiim " on" instead of standby.
Newer WiiM models don't offer that option, at least not on EU ground. 1 hour is the maximum stand by time.On the WiiM Pro Plus there is a Never setting for Standby Mode. If you have this on the Ultra it would prevent WiiM and thus your amp from turning off.
Interesting. What does the mobile app show after you have switched to Never in the WiiM home app and navigate to that screen in the mobile app?Newer WiiM models don't offer that option, at least not on EU ground. 1 hour is the maximum stand by time.
The beta versions of WiiM Home for Windows and for MacOS might behave differently, but I wouldn't want to rely on that.
I don't remember from the top of my head but could check this later today. I'm sure that it doesn't make the value "Never" available from within the mobile app.Interesting. I had ultra as pre but decided to use it as streamer only. My current setup using 3 different dac and analog pre. I find on every dac and streamer with digital volume doesn’t bode well as I find something lacking on low level listening. Analog pre I have maintained tonal balance even at lowest level and get much wider soundfield than using digital volume. Your miles may vary.Hi.how do you use your ultra as a pre amp? Unsure of how to connect it to my audiolab 7000a. Any help would be appreciated .
Just turned the standby never setting on.thanks for this.On the WiiM Pro Plus there is a Never setting for Standby Mode. If you have this on the Ultra it would prevent WiiM and thus your amp from turning off.
TT - obviousAfter using the 7000a as a power amp,id like to know if I can connect everything to the ultra.i have a TT, cd,laptop and headphone amplifier. That way I can just leave the 7000a in power mode, and use the ultra for selection.what would be the best way,and with which type of cables? The turntable is obvious, and I assume i can go hdmi ti hdmi with the laptop. Any help would be grateful.
Oh.....I have an optional pp1 phono stage, but I'm thinking that may complicate things, and be no better than the one in the ultra.
Cheers Mr ee and double jSo it looks like tt to phono,cd to optical, and laptop headphone jack to rca analogue.
