Presets and Sub Pro

Hi, just got a Sub Pro and I'm trying to set up a preset for use with an external headphone amp, which I feed with the optical out from my Ultra.

I'm spite of setting the sub to off in this preset, my sub pro continues to produce sound.

If tried setting up a preset simply to turn off the sub, and this fails too. I've also tried setting one up to turn the sub on, which also fails.

I assume I'm doing something wrong, but I'm clueless as to what it might be.

Any advice would be appreciated. 😁

It's connected using the sub out output.
I tested the Ultra preset, and turning the sub on/off worked correctly. (Note: This is not Sub Pro.)

After pressing the preset that turns Sub off, is Sub off in the WiiM app's subwoofer settings screen? Or is it still on?

If it's still on, try deleting the preset and starting over. This time, in the preset edit screen, toggle Sub on/off several times before saving. (Be sure to click the Save button in the upper-right corner of the screen.)

It's still showing as on on the settings screen for the Sub Pro itself.

As you may have worked out, all I ultimately want to achieve is the sub turning off when I select optical out which feeds my external headphone amp.

I've also tried disconnecting the RCA connection and pairing over ethernet, with the same results.

The toggle that can be turned on or off via presets is the "Sub Output" toggle found in the Ultra subwoofer settings screen.

If sound still comes out of the Sub Pro when this toggle is off, I don't think you can disable the Sub Pro via presets.

@Burnside, @QuarryHunslet,
Any thoughts on this matter?

Just messing about, I decided to unpair the Sub Pro from my Ultra in the app and it fixes everything. The presets work just fine, disabling and enabling the Sub just as I intend.

Of course, even if paired, the Sub should be disabled, so perhaps this is a bug for the dev team to look at. Time to issue a ticket. 😐

Was just about to say that - I don’t think that switch in the Ultra’s settings matters if it’s wirelessly connected, or indeed connected to an external amp. The on/off in the sub pro settings does work though although I agree the settings should be synchronised when paired.
