Hi, I can't listen to the Qobuz app anymore...by selecting the Wiim Pro Plus as GoogleCast, i can hear the connection sound on the speakers but Qobuz execution gets stuck in pause...can you help me?

Sorry...The playback works normally if I select the audio output of my smartphone

I can try a free Trail for 30 days
What do you think about qobuz?
How do you use it with the wiim amp?
Is it reliable? What's the difference compared to Tidal?
How is it possible they want to charge monthly ( after trail period) 18,99 via the app and on the website one can choose 15,99 monthly after trail.
15,99 or 18,99 lots of money compared to Tidal..what is the reason for it being quite expensive?

I'm not sure I'm willing to try it..

If you are on iOS Apple tax is the difference from the app and the website price
Also if you pay annually it’s cheaper again

I'm on a android device.
In the website the say monthly 15,99 and within the app 18,99..after trail period
How do they dare to charge these prices I wonder.
Tidal is much cheaper..can't they see this?.
I did read the Tidal library and app is better than qobuz...and tidal has connect option..
Why such an amount of money .. what's your opinion on this?

And..they should know Spotify pro is coming.
Why..still charge such amounts of money?..I can't understand this..
No connect function..don't they think they should charge less?

If you want to charge me 18,99 ..then I would say all would be at least on par with tidal or Spotify pro( Recommendations via the app, library and the connect function should be there..).
Or are they claiming the sound quality is significantly better then the rest..
According to Spotify pro they can't even say this at this moment..

18,99 monthly..tell me why..

Well I am probably the wrong person to ask as I ditched Qobuz for tidal due to them removing some of my purchased content so I had to subscribe to stream it, I do have multiple copies downloaded btw but it was the principle of it that and the 3 months to get any answer from customer service
Oh and I have dropped tidal now as well as I have decided to invest in more cds and rip them to my own storage device
Feels better owning my music than renting it 😊
All the above is my personal experience and your mileage may vary from mine

well, i'm not sure about the pricing etc.

but in my opinion it's the best streaming service to use with WiiM products. it works really well with the WHA and the native app isn't bad, either - there's not brainrot doomscrolling content in your face when you open it, at least!!

i think it sounds better than the other services too + the human curation aspect of their playlists and the qobuz magazine are valuable additions. a lot of music i've discovered has been through their playlists. i honestly don't really miss spotify's "auto" playlists etc.

It's still way too cheap and basically theft.
i don't see it that way. i think it's up to the artist to adapt to the changing landscape of technology and general societal changes. in other words, we do not owe it to artists to put food on their tables, it's their responsibility to earn it... imo they should leverage the good aspects of the changes - e.g. free exposure, easy distribution, cheap promotion of live shows to their advantage and try to adapt to the bad aspects of change. it's nobody's fault that the cost of listening to a recorded song has essentially reached ZERO. but it's also never been easier to become a household name overnight... 🤷‍♂️

i spend WAY more money on live shows and merch (sometimes even if i'm not sure i'll make it to a gig i still might buy a ticket). and if you care about supporting your favourite artists then you should too - because they make A LOT more (as a % of sales) on live shows/merch. in fact a lot of record deals (see: the beatles debacle) screw artists over in a big way.

live music is also on its way to being monopolised by Live Nation (just like the record labels have consolidated into oligopolies), so this gravy train might end pretty soon. but for now - this is how to pay the artists you care about. unless you know specifics about their record deal and it's favourable to them...

it is nice that qobuz pays the artists more per stream than their competitors, but sadly - it seems a race to the bottom here, and while i do like the service - it's likely not a sustainable business model in the long run. hence their diversification into album sales now as well... 🤔

My wife and I use the Duo plan. These are two subscriptions that can be used completely independently for a total of €210 when paid annually. That's €17.50 per month for both of us and €8.75 per person. We think it's reasonable for the sound quality on offer. (The prices quoted are valid for Germany).

Why don't you connect your friends and pay 3€ per person?

Not strictly allowed - it’s for sharing with “family members in the same home”. Amazon on the other hand allow family members residing in the same country on their family music plan.

Qobuz also allows even those who are in another country, but the account must be created in the same country. We won't touch on the moral side of the issue, will we? ;)
