Random disconnects

I'm having the same disconnect issue, mine connects for less that a second.
Send to be related to the latest firmware update.
Will submit a ticket.

It's possible that it's inherent in the firmware update but I was using toslink for months and it's the coax that had the problems
I have noticed a few dropouts when on toslink but it is likely from the streaming service (news stream in this case) whereas the coax trouble happens during playback of streams within the song and lasts about 2-3 seconds usually and happens often

Thanks.
I'm using 'line out'. And have tried both WiFi and Bluetooth.
Problem happens with all music services that I use.
Problem is consistent ... I cannot play anything. Every connection attempt results in a 'blip' in sound and then dead air. Streaming source shows the music playing, however no sound.

Have you tried rebooting you router? The few times it’s happened a quick internet router reboot fixed the issue. I’m using Fios internet with the extended WiFi and it tends to be an issue with the router extended modular that cause my issue.

Yes, rebooted the router, and the WiiM Pro. Using WiiM's Line Out to my amp's CD/AUX.
Cannnot connect at all. Just the micro blip of sound on initial attempts.

I've been experiencing random disconnects during playback of late that I didn't have happen before of late, seeming to get more frequent
I also seen in a different venue, others complain of this same situation
Have anybody else had these issues?
I want to thank the Wiim Support for taking care of me
I received what should remedy the problem tonight and am testing for issues
I am hopeful all issued are solved
Thanks again

If you have a second Tidal Connect-capable WiiM device or access to one, does the issue occur there? If you use a Tidal desktop application to send content to your Ultra via Tidal Connect, does it likewise disconnect every 3rd song?

I guess it's also possible the app has some corruption that clearing the app's data and cache might fix. Alternatively, you could try uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Definitely report it to WiiM via the WHA and to Tidal via whatever mechanism they use.

It's Tidal app corruption, I have my Wiim Ultra connected via Ethernet, I switched to wireless 5G and the same thing. It happens to me since the last Tidal update

I've tried to reproduce this using my Android Tidal app (v. 2.145.0, updated on Jan 24, 2025) and my Ultra via Tidal Connect and I cannot (with a mixed personal playlist). Now my Ultra is on the Qobuz Connect beta firmware from 12/23/2024, and I'm a couple of versions behind current GA, so if your firmware updated recently, I'd be more inclined to pin the blame on that. Or maybe it's an incompatibility between the most recent versions of the Tidal app and Ultra firmware, so difficult-to-impossible to guess what's broken and who will need to fix it. The more people report it to both companies, the more quickly it will get fixed.

Anybody else seeing this?

Hi,
I've been testing Wiim Ultra for a few days now.
Music in 24/192 quality is choppy. Only on Tidal. I bought Amazon Music and there's no problem, the same songs play perfectly.
I've eliminated the phone problem, it's exactly the same on the tablet. I've eliminated the Wiim -> Amplifier connection problem. Whether it's RCA, USB Audio, or COAX .. the situation is the same. The sound disappears every few seconds for a few seconds, as if it was buffering. I've eliminated the WiFi problem - when connecting via Ethernet cable, there's also a buffering problem.
Does anyone else have a problem with this service or does this Wiim have a problem with the app?
I'll add that this problem doesn't occur with CarPlay or listening on headphones, but I guess HiRes is then compressed to 16/44 anyway.

@WiiM Support Help. Very Help .... I don't like it when something works half-heartedly.
