Really appreciate the 'hide' feature.

In setting up the Ultra I had to use utilize HDMI ARC. And though it's provided the benefit of only having to use one remote control for three different devices, it also automatically choses HDMI ARC as my primary input regardless of my choice (phono, optical ).It may be in the instructions on how to properly utilize the Hide function, but it took me a few days to stumble upon it. By Hiding HDMI ARC, the Ultra now stays on the last-selected input, which is how I use it 98% of the time.

HDMI ARC is a mixed bag. It provided Auto-ID between connected-devices as well as a single remote for presidential controls
It did not eliminate the need for Toslink(to route digital audio out of my projector). For years I've mostly ignored HDMI ARC. I really appreciate WiiM incorporation of the Hide function. Thank you.

Excuse me...what is the Hide function? Can you show us where it is located at wiim home app?
I had issues with official firmware and HDMI, I could only make it work as i liked (more or less) by installing a beta firmware

Tap the customization icon in the input switching section of the browse screen, then tap the red button on the customization screen to hide that input.

Alright...and that prevents not automatic switching to HDMI ARC but also user manually switching because input wont show up in WHA... unless re-enable it each time you want to use hdmi?...
I don't see much the point.. if hdmi is not to be used at all, unplug the cable... @GTW if it annoys you the auto switching of ultra to HDMI when TV on then try the beta release I pointed:
- Ultra will remain off when switching TV on
- Iif wiim was already on the audio input won't switch to hdmi either.
- Wiim only switches to hdmi only when you switch to that input voluntarily.

If you enable auto sensing then it does make the switch. It's not exactly instantaneous but it does detect a signal on the line and make the input change.

I didn't realize how I needed that 'Hide Function' until I read this thread. Thank you.

I do recall being frustrated with the Remote's 'Input' button - now it's a proper toggle [between HDMI & Ethernet in this case]!
