Recently played empty

Hi, dontknow what happened but using Spotify and my recently played items remain empty.

I’m not sure if it happened after last firmware update. Tried factory resetting and reinstalling Spotify on both my iPad and iPhone but didn’t help.

Since Spotify is not integrated with the WiiM app, your playback history will not appear in the "Recently Played" section of the WiiM app.

Only the playback history from streaming platforms that played on the WiiM app will be saved.

That's strange. When I first got the unit ans swiped left on the display it would show me previously played songs but then it might have been Qobuz?

I have never seen any Spotify content (using Spotify Connect) in the Recently Played section.

Yes, that’s exactly the Qobuz app. The WiiM app and the Spotify app don’t have a feature that lets you view your history by swiping.

Up until a few weeks ago (maybe month), my Spotify listening history used to appear in the “Recently Played” section on my WiiM ultra, and it worked really well. I used it all the time to quickly restart music without having to take my phone out of my pocket, so for me it was a genuinely important feature.

At some point in the last few weeks or months, it just disappeared. I’m not exactly sure when, but I definitely miss it.

Interestingly, this seemed to happen around the same time I started having issues with Spotify Connect from my phone. I don’t know if the two are related, but the timing makes me wonder.

Yes, I noticed that too. Also the Spotify history shows up in the WiiM TV app. But not in the WiiM app on my phone. I’d love it if that were possible...

Recently played is the list of what play was started from the actual device, no matter on which WiiM it did play on. So if you have played it via the WiiM Home App it will show in that app on that device but not on other devices or apps. An Ultra screen will show all what is played on it.

Yes, I can understand. However, in the WiiM TV app, you can view the "Recently Played" list for each WiiM device. Would it be possible to display the same list in WHA?

I think an option to switch between the two "Recently Played" lists would be convenient for users who use multiple phones.
