Remote question

Hi all,
I currently have a Mini but have ordered a Pro Plus. It comes with the remote. I’m doing some remodeling and moving my stereo into a vintage console. The opening in front of the console is only tall enough for my components but not the Wiim. But it will fit on top of the other components but would be hidden by a thin wooden facia that hangs down. Will the remote still work? Not sure if it’s IR or what.

Thanks! I thought it might be but couldn’t find any info in the manual. I figured with voice control it would have to be.
