The new Replay Gain support for "local" music seems to work for DLNA servers (based on a lower overall playback volume when enabled) when I play from the Wiim app (pull) but not when I "play to" from the DLNA server itself (push). Is there any way this can be made to work with the push scenario? Thanks.

Wouldn’t the server itself then take on the responsibility to apply replaygain?

It's a licensed feature in MinimServer.

I haven't tried it myself yet, but I would hope it was applied when cast from a third party control point.

It can but not when it is sending the original file with the tags intact. I want to avoid the conversion on the server.
I've just tested and you are indeed right. It should absolutely be possible so it's worth raising a ticket.

Why are you trying to avoid the conversion taking place on the server?

How do you raise a ticket?

Mostly just because it is unnecessary and less writing to the disk is a good thing.

Well, they just responded that it is not supported so I guess I will have to go back to conversion.
I'd be surprised if anything was written to disk on the server. I know it's not with MinimServer.

The general consensus Audiophiles say it's better to offload that kind of processing from the streamer, as it can impact sound quality, so it might not be a bad thing.

Annoying none the less!
