Room correction

Does the Room Correction report that it is using the external USB microphone?
Yes.

Maybe there is an App that forces the Android to not using the low pass filter?
(It is not the task of WiiM to care for the devices outside of WiiM…)
On the one hand, you are right. On the other hand, RC is offered, which can not be used directly. What's the point of having options to record sound from a phone, connect a microphone, or upload a calibration file – if none of it actually matter? Wiim app might as well just have the option to upload a final file to adjust PEQ after calibration done in REW.

I'm not saying it's Wiim responsibility or something, because it's clear that it's not. However, if Wiim can bypass all these filters on the phone during the measurement, it's definitely something worth to do. It will surely be useful.

RC set up for 30-600. All measurements with external mic

First one: redmi note 14 pro, second: Poco X7 pro. Both are incorrect... Why? THe bass is strong when listening music

The previous: redmi 9t pro - different from these two.

This is fcked up

I cant run RC to get proper results, and I dont have my old phone anymore.

Im doing something wrong = there were some changes, and I dont know how to adjust RC to see it properly, or I dont know what is happening.

Sorry this is not useful information for you, but I recently got a Poco F7 pro and tested it. The results were good and measured almost the same as the Xiaomi pad 7.

Currently the only device I have that has problems is the Xiaomi 13T pro.
(That said, when measuring the subwoofer bandwidth, the 13T pro also appears to capture important peaks and dips.)

I had a Xiaomi Pad 6 before and had no problems with it, so that's one way to try a tablet.

It would be ideal if the @WiiM Team could resolve this issue, but I guess the team was considering the idea of using the WiiM Remote for the RC. In any case, I hope this is resolved ASAP.

Hi sNc, MCG555, team

We have disabled all the filter processing on iOS and Android. However, it depends on how the OS/device handles this. In case you have any problem with your setup, please send us a feedback ticket so we can check if it happens on the specific devices/OS. Thank you again for your patience and support!

Hi sNc, MCG555, team

We have disabled all the filter processing on iOS and Android.

Is that feature already enabled?

As per post #562, I tested it today and it seems the issue is not resolved on the Xiaomi 13T pro.

I have sent a ticket.

Thank you.

Edit;

This is a Xiaomi 13T pro OS version with remaining problems.

This quoted post from Mr. @Wiimer is from the middle of 2024. Many things happened in between.
Has there been a significant narrowing in the gap on the input/measurement side between a relatively low cost external mic like the UMIK-1 and the mics on phones? I'm a neophyte, but it seems like if there hasn't, using your phone is a garbage in/garbage out proposition and a "capability" with low ceiling benefits. Am I off base with that thinking?

What I wanted to point is the fact that "only iOS" is history.

When you launch RC, do you also have to significantly increase the volume? For example, if I normally listen at around 45% volume, to hear the initial test sound before the measurement at the same loudness, I have to increase the volume to around 80–90%. I don't remember if it was like that in the past
