Roomfit control in smart presets

Is it possible to get the option to default roomfit on or off in presets - apparently the ultra has this feature (as announced in a recent firmware update) - but not my pro plus and my WiiM
amp.

It is annoying to go in and disable and enable it every time I use headphones!

I basically just leave it off now and use EQ only settings to tune my speakers and headphone because at least that option exists - but that is unfortunate - roomfit is a key feature to me! I am not upgrading to an ultra either - not until you fix Apple Music connectivity!

So I got home and ch Erebus wha to have to report

#1 - I am a dummy - save button has indeed been there. I used it just now, and I named it and it magic - shows up at bottom for selection and in smart presets. Flog me if desired. I missed this connection in my head!

#2 - This solved half my problem. To solve the original ask for roomfit, I put new knowledge to work. I printed my room fit profile, disabled it, and then entered it into PEQ. I saved it and in smart presets I created 2 - one for speakers using this profile and one for my headphones using a different one. Now I can more easily switch between listening modes.

I repeated this on both WiiM devices.

This solves my problem. Would I like a way to export roomfit to peq, Yes I would. But it took me all but 5 minutes to print and enter the info manually.

Appreciate the input- you all helped me! Now I know a lot more about wiim’s capabilities and can get started on creating a desired peq profile for my headphones! :-)

Glad it solved your issue but it doesn't solve the general issue. When you move the RoomFit profiles to the PEQ you cannot change your EQ on top of that.

I have a fixed RoomFit profile for the main output (optical) and then I apply EQ depending on music style and volume.

If I want to change to another output (USB) the RoomFit profile no longer match and I need to go into the RoomFit menu and change it.

I think the best solution to this would be to associate a different RoomFit profile to each output, just as we already have different EQ and volume associated to each input.

agree - for now I can live with that. I don’t generally EQ on top and i can always go through the settings to enable roomfit and and eq. I guess! :-)

Would help me to have with roomfit option in smart presets. Associating roomfit profiles to an input would also be useful but wouldn’t solve my headphone/speaker PEQ need.

I don't understand this part. Why having RoomFit associated with input? It's measure on an output.

Remember that RoomFit is not for sound profile settings. It's just to correct room/speaker issues and providing a flat response that can then be modified by the EQ to the preferred sound.

I don’t, I just need to turn it on and off and control EQ from presets.

Although I do have several profiles saved for BK vs flat vs Harman and also for two different speakers that I swap in periodically.

That coup be a use case I suppose.i don’t swap my speakers too often to care.
