Selecting a Media Server

It was simple to host music on my Synology NAS and pull them up, but I just had to have DSD playback. So I need a media server.
I use PLEX for videos, I have a pile 4 x 4 feet of blurays. So I don't want to muck up my PLEX video system with a ton of audio media. I see a few servers mentioned here other than PLEX. Synology's own Media Server, Minimserver and LMS (I assume that is Logitek's old media server?) I tried Synology's server but to play DSD I needed instream DoP conversion, so I installed Minimserver trial, it streams DSD just great. What are my options and advantages say of LMS and others, if I installed it myself? I think I saw LMS supports squeezelite. I used to be a squeezebox junkie. Does anything replicate tagging of .dsf's? What are your experiences?
<update, I see LMS is Lyrion Media Server, my mistaker>

If you want to use the WiiM Home app then Plex or MinimServer are the best options.

If you want to integrate online services with your local content then Lyrion.

If you're on Android then use any one of a number of servers (I can personally recommend Lightweight Music Server) with Symfonium - although I have no idea if they support dsf.

If you're on iOS then Lyrion as options are really limited.

You are mostly correct that LMS was the old, Logitech Media Server, but it has evolved and is now a very popular and robust open source community project with lots of helpful people for support. It definitely supports Squeezelite. There is a DSD plug-in, which reportedly works well (I have no experience with it). I run LMS on the same server as Plex with no issues.

For me the big benefits were a good web interface with streaming service integration and some pretty nifty plug-in like music and artist information and the “Material Skin” give a nice modern update to the Interface. If you were a squeezebox junkie it will be like coming home for you! I suggest giving it a try. Good Luck!

LMS (Lyrion Music Server, excellent proven community driven streaming platform, once Logitech and back in the naughties Slimdevices) reads DSD and converts it to FLAC.

What's cool is I luckily bought the one streamer system that is still supported with modern hardware and software- saves junking them.

I think I have slimserver 6.5.0 as the first install

Can't remember if I used earlier versions.
