I'm new to the forum. maybe it's an obvious question but I didn't find an answer in the forum and I'm not an expert.
I would like some help to understand the recommended sound configuration (dolby or stereo) for my wiim amp pro.
I have a samsung sek3500 tv connected to skyq blackbox decoder via hdmi and I connected my wiim amp pro to the samsung tv via hdmi.
The wiim amp pro is connected to two speakers and a sub (2.1 configuration)
On the samsung tv I can enable hdmi bitstream audio format and dolbydigital audio format. On the skyq black I can enable dolbydigital audio format or dolbydigital+ audio format.
my question is, If I watch a film on sky that is broadcast with dolbydigital 5.1 with the configuration described above (dolbydigital activated in tv and Skyq) is the audio signal correctly managed on my 2.1 system via some downmix mechanism on the tv or skyq? Or is it recommended to set stereo in tv and Skyq instead of dolbydigital for correct listening in 2.1 with wiim amp pro?
