Shorter sleep timeout or release S/PDIF stream soon after playback has stopped

I am using Wiim Pro Plus with an automatic digital audio switch with input priority. The switch automatically switches to next input when a higher priority input stream stops or its S/PDIF signal switches off. Now I have to wait 30 seconds (Wiim's minimum confgured sleep timeout) until Wiim stops sending S/PDIF data, goes to sleep and my switch switches to next input.
I would like to see an option or possibility to shorten this 30 sec timeout.

As a workaround, does it stop sending immediately if you use the pro plus's remote 'off' button?
