Smart presets with more control of grouped devices.

Goal: Smart Preset that selects a Wiim group, sets individual volumes for each device in the group, and then selects audio source, from one button.

Right now I select a smart preset with volume adjustment it sets the volume on both to that value. If the group isn’t active, I have to go do that first.

I was about to start a thread/request for this exact feature. Great to hear you are already working on it!

For me, the main benefit of this feature will be easily restoring groups after google casting. I find that my speakers are ungrouped after casting. Perhaps that issue could also be addressed separately? In any event this preset grouping feature will help.

Please also make sure that different volume levels can be maintained for each device in each group. I still have to set my levels much higher for dolby 5.1 content vs. others. Presets currently give me a way to do this.

Finally (if you're still reading) the holy grail here would be for all of this to happen automatically just by playing a CD (optical in) or watching TV (HDMI ARC) via input detection. Basically auto-apply a preset on auto-detected input switch.

Apart from the group setting, smart presets are already available on all WiiM devices apart from the Mini and WiiM Edition Audio Pro speakers…

The ability to have a preset on a remote which defines a group and its input with one click is critical... going into the app and arranging the group and choosing the input though the leader is way too clunky.

Easy grouping and ungrouping of devices through the Ultra screen and the remote is really the last hurdle I have in setting up my WiiMs as a whole home audio system for the entire family to use.

This is the feature that makes having so many preset buttons on the remote so exciting for me - being able to transfer what I'm listening to between different speaker configs without going to a device (plus switching between music and my dolby setup for TV) is a big ol' dollop of icing on my WiiM cake
