Hello, from Argentina, a question that someone from this forum will surely ask me, when I use Spotify the transmission quality does not appear, neither in the application itself nor in the Wiim pro + if it shows them with other applications such as Tidal, Qobuz, Amazon Music, what will happen? Sorry for my English, I'm using the translator.

Welcome.

I don't get any info in the wiim app when using spotify connect either. Not used spotify for a while, but I'm sure it used to.
The Ultra screen shows 320kbps, 16 bit, 44.1khz, which is the only thing I'd expect anyway.

Thank you very much for the answer, unfortunately I don't use the Ultra, so I don't have the screen, but the Wiim Pro Plus app doesn't show it either, so I don't know if it will be a problem with Spotify or the application.

Greetings.

In as much as it's a problem, it's the app.
But Spotify only has one level, 320kbps.
(Maybe the free tier is different.)

Thank you very much again, I know that's the quality, just out of curiosity I wanted to know why you don't show it. Greetings.

Thank you very much for the answers, my question was not the quality with which Spotify transmits, but because it does not show it to me in the WiiM Home application, as if others do, for example: Tidal, Qobuz, Amazon Music, etc., I just wanted to know if the same thing happens to anyone, to see if it is a problem with Spotify or the application itself, I make it clear that I use the premium version. Greetings

Saludos
Yes, my Spotify premium is the same as yours, the WiiM app no longer shows the rate. I am not sure when it was removed.

This is probably not a Spotify issue, as the Yamaha musiccast app shows the rates.

Thank you very much for the answer, the issue is not serious but I wanted to know if it happened to someone else, maybe it is an error that needs to be corrected in the Wiim application. Greetings.

Muchas gracias por la respuesta, el tema no es grave pero quería saber si le pasó a alguien más, tal vez sea un error que necesita ser corregido en la aplicación de Wiim. Saludos.
I opened a ticket in the WiiM app and asked the support team. If I get a response I will post it here.

Cool. Spotify will claim Surpremium Hi-Fi Super Plus Extra Good to be there without making any change on the technology side. :)

Yeah, looks like Spotify are saying to third party apps to not show more information than their own app does in case users might prefer the other app interface…

Thank you all very much for the answers to my concern. Greetings

Hi, @Hgmartin,

I received a reply from the support team. Thank you.

We have temporarily hidden the bitrate and sample rate information according to Spotify's request. We will update the app once Spotify updates the UX guidelines.
Well, it seems spotify is taking its time to update the UX guidelines XD cuz is July 1st of 2025 and the wiim app still shows no bitrate info

greetings to all

It took “once Spotify updates” to mean “if sometime in the future Spotify updates” I.e. maybe they’d never change the UX to show bitrate info…
