It's an older KD-65XF9005.

Make sure you connect to the HDMI ARC port. There is only one. The TV sound settings are also important.

the all hdmi port do you use it ??

my connection...
HDMI 1 -->> SAT DECODER
HDMI 2 -->> ANDROID BOX WITH SUBSCRIPTION
HDMI 3 EARC -->> Wiim Amp Ultra
HDMI 4 -->> Mini PC

if only 1 HDMI 3 EARC connected with Wiim Amp Ultra, the problem is GONE AWAY...

I'm using a Sony Bravia TV without any problems and with the current HDMI Beta Testing firmware the WiiM Ultra also behaves correctly regarding CEC discovery (when the TV sound changes between internal speakers snd external ARC).

after 5 days testing BETA firmware (with HDMI Fix) on Wiim Ultra... its WORK without Problem IF NOT Connected to MINI PC on any HDMI Input 1,2 or 4 .....
HDMI CEC NOT WORK, if i connected with MiniPC ( Intel NUC11 i7 ) ....

i dont get BETA Firmware for Wiim Amp Ultra..... can somebody help me how to get beta firmware after i click join beta testing button ???

It looks like some of the other connected devices or cables are somehow disturbing the CEC signal.

CEC is a common signal bus for alle HDMI ports, so if one port or cable fails, it will cause all CEC signaling to fail.

The HDMI Beta Testing firmware is only available for the WiiM Ultra.

Hopefully it will be included in both Ultras soon.

thanks for info... that statement make me find the real problem on my wiim ultra configuration...

before that, i connect nuc11 from Mini DisplayPort to Sony TV,,,
yesterday i switch from MD port to HDMI connect to Sony TV.... i run smoothly... without hdmi cec error... but i need more days to verify it...

Free Spotify Connect works ok, just not lossless.

I’d agree for some, but Spotify Connect has been able to work with devices if the developers for that kit used the SDK made available over seven years ago viz. https://www.techradar.com/news/spot...ree-tier-streaming-if-developers-get-on-board

Yes, that's exactly why I was interested to know if it works with the Wii Amp Ultra, precisely because it's at the manufacturer's discretion.

Given WiiM device firmware was in part written to conform to the Amazon Alexa MRM SDK so it could support voice control, it could also be as a consequence of that that WiiM devices support free Spotify and Spotify Connect given echo devices do. I struggle to think to why some kit doesn’t support free Spotify Connect given how long Spotify’s SDK has been available - like my Linn amp/streamer

Spotify Free via Connect was possible with the Marantz PM7000n from the beginning (2019), and I believe also with the NR1200.
