Turning off WIIM Amp Ultra from the app home

Hi, I'm new to the forum, and my first WIIM product is the Amp Ultra. I'd like to know how to turn it off using the WIIM app. You can turn it off using the remote, but you can only put it in standby mode using the app.

That’s a correct summation of the status quo - there isn’t an option in the app to turn it off. I suggest you perhaps consider using a smart plug if that’s what you wish to do.

There is a slight misunderstanding: the power button on the remote is the standby on/off button; there is no button on the WiiM device to shut down the power. Nor can the app do this, as mentioned earlier.

However, if I put it into standby mode using the app, the screen stays on and the LED stays lit. In short, I see that pressing the button on the controller puts it into a deeper standby state.

No, it's the same standby, just with screen and led turned off. You can turn those off from the app also, just not with one push.

Yes, pressing the power button on the remote forces the screen off. The toggle described by @QuarryHunslet can be switched on to turn the screen off during auto-standby.

No, es el mismo modo de espera, solo que con la pantalla y el LED apagados. También puedes apagarlos desde la app, pero no con solo pulsar un botón.

That feature would be useful, and such a feature is available in the WiiM Home App for the Vibelink Amplifier.

I agree that this would be useful (and it has been asked for before). But if you want the automatic standby function to work the same as pressing the red button on the remote, this is possible already. This is exactly what the aforementioned toggle switch does.

The WiiM Amp Ultra is never really off, though, unless you disconnect the mains power in one way or the other. I
