LMS could be the source of the unknown music. If you have the LMS UPNP/DLNA bridge enabled, it will sometimes start playing music on the WiiM after the WiiM stops playing a different source. It is annoying when it's unexpected.

I am not sure how you can be unsure if you have used LMS. It isn't just a check box in the app, the server needs to be actively installed somewhere.
