Ultra Release Date Pushed?

Hi all,

I pre-ordered the WiiM Ultra from Crutchfield back in May. The Crutchfield site said [Expected 07/05/2024] up until today. Now it says [Expected August 10]. Was the release date actually pushed back to August from July or is it still just presumed to be some time in the third quarter of this year? I know it is not ready until it is ready but just wondering/
 
On a separate thread someone suggested (after contacting Crutchfield) the new date is just for new batch of pre-orders and 5/7 could well still apply to those already pre-ordered. We shall see.

We’ve been in this situation during the time amp was released, it took several months before it got stabilized. Now, they are wildly available anywhere.
 
I think it’s pertinent to remember that we’re the odd ones out.

Many don’t know about the Ultra, and most that do won’t have a release date in their diaries.

The Ultra will be reviewed, and these published active of release. And then, unless the ball’s been dropped, BOOM!
 
All the retailer sites are still saying "late July"

I'm surprised the WiiM website still isn't listing it though
 
In the UK it’s polling day for the General Election. It was called 6 weeks ago, and it feels like 6 months.

But here we are today, it’s here.

It’ll be like that with the WiiM Ultra. It feels like forever, but it will actually arrive one day.

Or it could be like waiting for the lemon soaked paper napkins in Hitchhiker's Guide To the Galaxy, 900 hundred years, everyone on the flight is dead and still waiting 🤣
 
I have an existing Crutchfield preorder and received an email from them yesterday that my July 5 date has been revised to July 19. The web site is now showing August 12 for new orders.
 
Today my Crutchfield Order for the Ultra shows shipping August 12 (so arrival 15th August)
Amazon order on the other hand has improved - now arriving July 16th.
Whoever ships early gets my business and the other cancellation
