USB drive : eject/unmount?

Most systems require you to unmount/eject a storage device before disconnecting it.
On the Ultra, is it OK to just remove the USB drive to add files? I don't see an eject/unmount option.
Should we power down first?

Just want to avoid corrupting the filesystem...

Great question. I have an Eversolo DMP-A6 and I always power it off before disconnecting an attached hard drive. Not sure if this is needed but I’d rather be safe than sorry.

When the WiiM Home App is not actively creating the index on the drive there is no other write action taking place,so it's always safe to remove the drive.
