USB output problem

I have a brand new Ultra that I am trying to connect to a SMSL VMV D2r dac via USB.
The only way I can get it to work is by either unplugging and replugging the USB cable or rebooting the Wiim, which is annoying.
Once the Wiim is in standby and then woken up, it will not recognize the dac unless I either unplug the cable and replug or reboot.
I am aware that the dac has to be on for the Wiim to recognize it, so that is not causing the problem.
Is there any solution for the above?

I would start by raising a ticket in the WiiM app. If you have a powered USB hub, that might help with more consistent power levels during handshaking between the devices.

I'm using the USB output from my Ultra to connect to the SMSL SU-9 Ultra. Every morning I have to reboot the WiiM Ultra to get it to recognise the DAC it's connected to. Is this a bug that can be fixed?
