It’s even easier for me, all sources are on the Internet, qobuz and a couple of radio stations. Volume on the amplifier. The app is much easier.

It spends most of the time on "ethernet/WiFi" and very rarely on "Optical" for TV so easy for me as well. It’s even easier for me, all sources are on the Internet, qobuz and a couple of radio stations. Volume on the amplifier.
To be fair, the suggestion of using a routine pre dates smart presets and input and output volumes. Plus a routine allows you to use a shorter, potentially less ambiguous phrase. For my Pro Plus, switching inputs using Alexa is built into the WiiM skill. I do not need a routine. I just say, Switch input to optical , and my Pro Plus switches to the optical input.
Yes, they are. I've updated the article to confirm that.Announcement:
It does not specify the Pro or Mini, are they compatible too?
The remote do not turn the Ultra off. It's just putting it in standby with the screen off. Only way to turn it off, is to remove the power.I occasionally use the remote to turn off the unit (Ultra), as weirdly there's no power in the app, or on the unit itself. BTW, I do wish there was a confirmation screen when long pressing the power button. When the item was still new I thought a long press on the play button could be the logical "off" command. Instead without warning it's the factory reset function .... so annoying to forget this and have to set the whole thing up again.

Yes. That's what we were expecting. It's shinier.
What would you like to see added to a remote in the future? Is this Remote Control Pro idea more of what you're looking for in a remote?
Some people like myself place value in a nicer feel in the hand. I was more than happy to pay the difference for the heftier weight and the firmer button feel. Rechargeable power is also convenient compared to either swapping disposable batteries or swapping batteries that need a separate charger.I don't understand the the interest in this new remote. What is Bluetooth directivity? If anything, Bluetooth should offer the advantage of not having to point the remote towards the device. And honestly, that's exactly my experience with the WiiM remote.... Bluetooth directivity is not particularly good.
Actually, yes.Is this Remote Control Pro idea more of what you're looking for in a remote?
