What products you'd like to see WiiM produce?

I don't see a need for an ordinary CD transport. There are several of those in the market. Check also other comments and threads in the Forum.

@WiiM Team What could be nice was however to have an intelligent WiiM CD device with LinkPlay module and automated lookup of CD meta data (title, album art, etc.). All controlled by the WiiM Home App. A kind of a "CD streamer".
Something like the Cambridge audio transport for the Evo. The CD is looked up and the art is displayed on the Amp screen. That would be pretty cool

Video player is smth completely different than streaming music so either the development of music features stop or company will have to do a big switch/growth.

I would rather see focusing on music gear. Like pure power Amp (not for me as already IOM Ultra was bought).

But smth like cd attachment (with integration with album info) would be welcomed.

You’re right, it takes care of the feedback as well
As far as I understand it that's its main purpose.

Are you aware of the works of Bruno Putzeys for various audio companies over the last decades? He's been responsible for groundbreaking developments, in particular in the field of class D amplifiers. He's the inventor of the UcD modules (when working for Philips), the Ncore architecture (when working for Hypex) and currently the Eigentakt modules (as the co-founder and CTO of Purifi). His fellow CTO at purif is Lars Risbo, the inventor of the first ever digitally controlled class D amplifier, the TacT Millennium. Putzeys published works include research on how digitally controlled class D amplifiers could benefit from feedback in the digital domain (and I'm sure Axign are more than just aware of this).

So, Purifi's development is technically led by the two most influential developers in this field, but they decided to not follow this route any further, but to fully concentrate on anaogue input class D amplifiers instead. If these two leading heads agree on that digitally controlled class D amps are a dead end, I tend to follow their judgement. Keeping the signal in the digital domain all the way to the power stage sounds logical (and admittedly my main Lyngdorf system is based on this technology) but that doesn't mean it's the only or even the best way to do it.

Finally, it's the result that matters, not ideology. WiiM are sticking to TI TPA325x chips so far (and yes, Lars Risbo did work for Texas Instruments when they bought his company Toccata Technology) for a reason. Just switching to anything using digital input and digital feedback does not mean the results are any better.

Yea, big fan of Bruno Putzeys , I still own a nad d 3202 v2 that uses an UcD module but I ve also read great reviews of the Marantz M1 and the Powernode edge that uses Axign controllers, and I can only imagine what Wiim could do with the great steaming platform combined with these class d technologies , cheers!

Even if you feel like it spoils the joke, adding some textual context to an external link is not only good practice. It also keeps your posts from being deleted as spam.

Having your posts deleted makes you look like a fool, after all. Like an April's fool, at least.

If MQA had been announced on April 1 nobody would have been surprised 🤣

I would like to see Wiim produce a CD player, ideally in a form factor to match my Ultra.
Wiim already produce :-

9 * Streamers = Mini, Pro, Pro Plus, Ultra, Amp, Amp Pro, and somewhat differently the Wake-up-Light, and the C10 Mkii, and the A10 Mk ii
4 * Amplifiers = Amp, Amp Pro, Vibelink, and the C10 Mkii

Many posters have responded with what I'm sure are excellent suggestions for further tweaks and / or further variants for the existing products.

I'm also convinced, that just like myself, there are many people around the world that would welcome a new Wiim CD product: Developed in line with Wiim's ethos of high quality musical fidelity and great value for money.

Yes. Would like to see a CD streamer that includes the WiiM software for control and the LinkPlay module for connectivity. Adding CD meta data lookup presented on WHA (and Ultra via LinkPlay) would make it stand out.

Please, make the best possible streamer for $300. No DAC, no screen. Just the best possible parts, power supply and good quality digital outputs.
Understanding that going without a DAC is not easy, another addition here would be an HDMI out that could carry the album art and possibly the song lyrics.

For that model you could eliminate the need for a screen on the device using the same mold for the existing ultra too.

Would be good to carry a pass through for DSD and PCM via DOP too.
