What products you'd like to see WiiM produce?

A power amp similar to the Vibelink to pair with the Ultra that doesn't have a DAC or volume control. Hate the idea of paying for redundancy that I'm not using. And/or a hybrid between a remote and a tablet that is more UI focused than the app. Like if Roon and Tidal had a baby.
Already exists. IOM Ultra.

Give all the upset sonos ppl out there (like me) an equivalent integrated smart speaker solution to sonos play 1, play 3 and play 5.
Similar like you tried with Audio Pro Wiim Edition, but available worldwide and in colors black + white.

Then i could finally switch to Wiim completely and sell my whole sonos multiroom setup...

There are many audio sites discussing these days SQ differences of lossless audio streams. People have made serious comparisons of CD vs stream and find differences. Recently a few have looked deeper into the issue and actually measured bit stream differences, which are attributed to manipulations in the streamer devices. These can be protocol implementation errors, DSP side effects caused by other on-going DSP operations, and so on.

WiiM offers bit-perfect streaming, when feeding an external DAC but, as we know, proper device setup is needed - Full volume (100%), no EQ, no other DSP options. Many in other sites claim the Ultra is a subpar streamer, lifeless, lacking dynamics, lacking soundstage imaging. I have often interjected and called attention to setup requirements, which I think is the culprit for those negative comments.

I have been raising concerns about creeping 'featuritis', which are prone to implementation bugs and potentially forced errors. For those who care about the utmost fidelity and use an external DAC (some costing 10X the cost of any WiiM device) I ask @WiiM Team @RyanWithWiiM to pay attention.

I seriously don't believe that WiiM sell to this creepy crowd in meaningful numbers. I'm sure they sell to people inclined with Apple, Sonos and (to a limited degree) those into objective performance figures.

The one and only reason I decided to dig into the WiiM universe was the all-in-one approach of the WiiM Amp and freely configurable PEQ.

There are other markets. WiiM streamers have been noticed by people outside its market segment. Some have installed Ultras in very high end systems. More would do so if a dedicated simple streamer with good SQ design was offered.

Incidentally… I think that Ultra is a very good streamer transport. I use it strictly like that - USB out to a high-end DAC with filtered USB input. Bit-perfect with Fixed Volume, no EQ, no Fade-In/Fade-Out, no preamp functions, no subwoofer, screen off. It is very transparent and when compared to other sources it holds its ground. But… to be seen as a audiophile streamer a strict streamer, sans add-ons, and clean design is needed. And what I notice is that many high-end buffs trying it have no clue about proper setup. This is an easy ‘flag’ product for WiiM to make.

I fully understand your requirement and I see the target audience.

I just differ when it comes to judging how such a product would help WiiM in their market. As you said, the WiiM Ultra is "good enough" even for these audiophiles like yourself, who don't use any of the features I am using it for.

What's to be gained? Would true audiophiles accept a device with less functions but the same or higher price than the Ultra? Selling it for less wouldn't make any sense.
