What's your setup/configuration look like?

You could at least have rounded the edges on the top plate. And dust off your amp, mate:eek::ROFLMAO:.
What's the paper towel doing under the speakers?
The "rack" is a temporary solution until I build/buy a proper one. AT least the plan is to round but most importantly paint it.
On the dust, it's a fierce battle that keeps me "entertained" each Saturday.

Under the speakers is not paper, is a packaging light plastic that I used as I'm lazy positioning speakers; I use Oehlback absorbers ( https://oehlbach.com/en/resonance-damper/shock-absorber-d1c62014 ) under the speakers and are not attached to the cabinet, so if I want to move them - to remove dust properly, to your point - it's complicated and this simplifies.

Name it "half done", is my home office.

thats ADPT 'Accoustic Damping Paper Towel' .. £50 a sq inch .. just for 'audiofools' .. :ROFLMAO:

AE500. Loving them.

Here's the AE1... this is the home office in its latest iteration with the F5m.. so I make a point of having the wires in the open... makes changing amps and speakers easier.

No Blue Tack... speakers are heavy enough and I keep moving things around as the mood changes. ( I replaced the AE1 with Fostex today and running the F6 ).

I've done the room correction thing, but with the cross over and changing stuff around I just decided it's easier to manually control the crossover. Too many variables.... having fun...

Acoustic Energy is indeed fun. I've been thinking of getting the AE2.

Inspired by @SKApretto71 ’s pic of his setup I‘ve had a look at the Audiophonics range of power amps.
What I found amongst others is a double mono Purifi 9040 BA amp.

Most interestingly this is a one-on-one brethen of my Apollon 1ET9040BA DM.

They use the same Purifi modules (obviously😂), the same OP amp and the same power supply.
The only difference I found is the max. power rating into 2 ohms (1200 vs. 1400 watts). But this seems of theoretical nature to me.

I wonder who‘s been copying from whom or if they have come the same design conclusions independent of each other.

WTH? The Sparkos SS2590 opamps are a 400 euro option?

I think you're getting Big Time Ripped Off over in Europe. They are 60 bucks direct from the factory.

IMHO, you guys in Europe are getting ripped off big time with those amp prices.

Heck, just build your own... it's not hard...

That‘s a different Purifi module. You’re comparing apples with pears.

Cannot answer, but I can say that ten build of the amp I got - a nCore - is very good. The fronting led is bit too bright at night but I can live with it, just sharing for others, in case.

As it looks the on/off button / LED is also exactly the same on Audiophonics and Apollon amps.

i had this with a speaker switch i just got .. my solution

1/ cut a neat little circle/sq of black tape
2/ make small hole in it, might need to try few different sizes from pin to cocktail stick .. ( might be easier before cutting neat shape .. step 1/ )
3/ place over offending led/light ..
4/ pour beer or glass of something and admire your handy work :)

Wow. Since this thread continues on and I'm new here, I guess I'll post an intro!

I bought my first WiiM product, a WiiM Mini, last month to simply receive AirPlay 2 streams. Today I bought a WiiM Ultra to properly 'DSP and preamp' a stereo with a subwoofer that will be the main music source in a new living space I'm setting up (Music is the early priority now I've built a proper WiFi setup). The WiiM Ultra is upgrading the role initially held by a Fosi ZD3 which lacks the RoomFit/PEQ and the [pending?] BassFit-like functions that I primarily bought the Ultra for.

The first image shows the first 'stereo' of the 'high-value; lower-cost' system I'm aiming for... A pair of Sony CS CM2 bookshelf speakers and a Fosi SW10 subwoofer; the WiiM Ultra supporting an Ampapa D1 (originally bought for its balanced inputs and High Pass Filter - neither used anymore as the Ultra deals best with crossovers and it lacks balanced outputs🤨). Also an early Apple TV 4K connected to a 27" LG IPS "Smart Monitor" that speaks HDMI CEC and eARC with the WiiM Ultra:

Zooming out, a quick view of the overall space - a high-ceiling room with a loft built of heavy lumber. The table is the "stereo-staging-area" for what will soon go on a deep 8-foot-wide mantle-high shelf to be center-mounted on the wall behind it. The down-firing SW10 subwoofer sits on the concrete floor in the corner. The accoustics seem pretty good, particularly with the WiiM Ultra's accurate crossover settings applied...

The aforementioned Fosi ZD3 moved upstairs to be paired with the WiiM Mini, a 'matching' Fosi ZA3 amp, and another pair of the Sony CS CM2s that face the sleeping area of the loft/bedroom:

The challenge of using 2 [networked] stereoes in adjecent areas of a larger space is mine! I've noticed that setting the Ultra and Mini up as a Group, linking them, then playing music at/from the Ultra provides a much better sound synchronization than does AirPlay sourced from a HomePod. Sadly, I suspect the WiiM Mini's AirPlay receiver (which has shown some anomolies I'll likely chase down later - like I can't stream directly to the mini from the 1st-gen ATV4K - the ATV doesn't see it, while trying to establish the connection from an iPhone just spins and fails. A HomePod mini playing music CAN AirPlay to the WiiM Mini and the ATV4K simultaneously, but the sync sucks - weird). Since the downstairs subwoofer is directly below the head of the bed upstairs - about the same distance as the main speakers in the loft... this may all work out quite well😎.

[Quick update edit] Having diss'ed the WiiM Mini's AirPlay receiver in this post, I'm updating to share that I had completely forgotten to calibrate audio sync on the Apple TV 4K AND on the WiiM Mini after having swapped out the connected audio equipment for both. Having done that, the AirPlay 2 time alignment is correct, but it has more of a 'stadium effect' sound than does the WiiM Ultra leading a group. Also, the gripes about the AirPlay visibility and selectability of the WiiM mini describe an intermittent issue. I can be sympathetic to challenges in Apple ecosystem networking interoperability😏.

Anyway, so-far-so-good with the WiiM stuff! I'm running the latest BETA firmware on the Ultra, and now that I'm here in the Forum, I'm sure everything WiiM will sort out well with me).

cheers,
-- brian
