I like the Fosi products I have... starting with a SK02 headphone amp (with the spiffy multifunction volume knob) and later a BT20A Pro power amp matched with a WiiM mini for shop speakers, they had became my go-to Chi-Fi vendor when I ordered Fosi's ZD3, ZA3 and their SW10 subwoofer in January.

Sadly, the subwoofer's power failed a few days ago, and I've received no [human] response to my plea for warranty support for ~72 hours so far.

While waiting on Fosi support - I've let them know I'm fine with an amplifier assembly part swap - I found a very good "open box - excellent" price on an SVS SB-1000 Pro at Best Buy.

The entry-level SVS fits with my "high-value; lower-cost" aim/mandate for this system (hopefully a bit higher-value in this case as subwoofers are a pain to replace :-)). My new shelf is in place for increasingly expensive speaker upgrades... so I'm looking for the most meaningful/impactful/restrained-but-worthwhile updates to these low cost Sonys (that sound pretty damn good with the RoomFit & PEQ tweaks I'm able to apply via WiiMs).

SVS is solid. I’ve gone back to my SB-3000. It just hits so hard. My sub is low-passed in at 30Hz now, so time alignment isn’t as critical, and it doesn’t need to be hyper-fast or controlled, so I gave my Rythmik L12 to my dad since it pairs better with his Magnepans.

Given my concrete floor and lower walls, bass needs some RoomFit-restraint in this space... Since my mains bottom-out around 60Hz, I need the subwoofer to be a bit more active and have had the Ultra's crossover set closer to 80Hz.

Since I'm letting one ground-floor subwoofer serve my two "stacked" stereo listening areas, I gather that lower frequencies are easier for subwoofer/main time alignment? I've been using a WiiM Pro-enabled HPF upstairs to complement the downstairs crossover, but I gather I'll have better control or at least visibility with the SVS app in the mix. The unfinished juniper wood decking and heavy rafters between the two stereos seems to act as a big LPF amidst the rather nice acoustics in here:sneaky:.
 
At home we run two Entec SW-5. The only woofers I've heard that are fast enough to match the Maggies.

Servo woofers are the trick. Sealed with servo, three cubic foot black box. When the foam grill disintegrates they are pretty ugly industrial but they sound really good.

Dual woofers makes a huge difference too! Ideally they should be stereo too. Then, you got my little home office with four little subwoofers... each has four 4" drivers.. so we got 16 little 4" drivers, time aligned...

That's why I gave my dad the Rythmik L12. It's direct servo.

As people on here know I am a huge Fosi fan but I have got an A/B amplifier now but I am thinking of setting up my Fosi gear in my bedroom as a tv/music combo.
The main difference I am noticing between my new amp and the old Fosi setup is the new amplifier has more weight/power behind it, both sound as detailed

Hey all. New here with a Wiim Pro Plus shoehorned into my home theatre/multi-channel music listening cave. I did the best I could figure but always open to suggestions for improvement. The WPP is connected to my AVR (Marantz Cinema 30) via RCAs. Room correction is done with Dirac Live Art. It's slightly awkward to use my phone instead of on-screen/remote control but I'm getting used to it and the Home Android app. Mainly Tidal is the source but pretty soon I'll be transferring my owned music files to an SSD drive (luckily I have some from before the price went bonkers).
I look forward to usingthe Wiim PP for a long time. Or until I get upgraditis again :LOL:
