Nothing yesterday so I’ll check again today after work. At least you got it so I’ll have to be a little more patient 😂
If you are currently on a firmware supporting Googlecast 1.56.x you probably won't receive this update.
Forget what I wrote.
The WiiM Amp (Pro and non-Pro) is always using the older Googlecast SDK (so far). I misread this as being an Ultra thread ...

How can I check this? I’m all Apple at the house. I don’t really cast anything google related.
Probably doesn't apply then. You could check the Googlecast version from the Google Home app, device settings, device information.

Edit:
Technically correct, but still BS. See edited post above:

Mine seems to have auto updated. I didn’t know that was a thing? I was checking for updates and noticed the build date was changed.

I have no idea. I thought that feature was off beta. If I was on beta I should be able to move off of it, right?
If you want to get back to the regular firmware track and the firmware version does not show the term "beta" in the device information, just send feedback to WiiM from the "More" tab (previously named Settings).

They should remove your device from the whitelist pretty fast.

Do you know if the most current firmware has removed the Automatic timing for the sub?

I don't see this option anywhere in the subwoofer settings.
WiiM Amp, firmware version 5.0.636055
WiiM Home app 3.0.2 on android.

The subwoofer calibration toggle is still there in the room correction settings (which is missing from the WiiM Amp Pro settings, if I remember correctly from the top of my head).

Do you have this option under subwoofer? Sorry for any confusion but I assume this is Automatic Timing or am I incorrect?

Cool thanks. I think I’ll stay on this version for now. Everything sounds great so far. But i honestly thought this feature was the normal firmware.
Presumably it will be added to the amp firmware soon. It doesn't really matter anyway. If you look in the manual settings you will see the delay that automatic sync cam up with. That won't change if you update the firmware. The automatic timing also doesn't optimise the response at the crossover frequency anyway so you still need to tweak it but everyone seems to be ignoring this fact and think WiiM's automatic timing magically finds the optimum setting. It doesn't.

Yeah I definitely had to make a couple tweaks to the crossover afterwards. But for free software I think it yields good results. I’m not expecting it to be as good as my Neumann M1 calibration software that I have in my studio.
